There is Hope After Abortion

hope after abortion copyMany abortion are performed without the willingness of the woman carrying the child.  Every day, hundreds of girls and women have to face threats from their boyfriends, parents, and husbands without any regard for their own feelings.  This leaves the girl or woman very hurt, confused, mad along with feelings of depression after abortion procedure takes place.

There is a hidden epidemic of women who would rather keep their child but must choose to submit to an abortion to either save their life or their living arrangements.  Here are headlines that represent a few of the women who were offered only once choice – abortion.  They are just a handful of stories of abuse, violence, and manipulation can be found in the Elliot Institutes report, Forced Abortion in America.

You will read headlines such as :

  • A homeless woman was denied shelter until she submitted to an unwanted abortion.
  • A teen was ridiculed by a school counselor and bussed to the abortion clinic
  • A daughter was pushed into an abortion clinic at gunpoint by her mother
  • A girlfriend was injected with an abortion drug outside a parking garage.
  • A 13 Year Old was returned to her molester after her abortion
  • Three sisters were raped repeatedly by their father and forced into abortions for nearly a decade.
  • A wife miscarried after her husband jumped on her stomach to force an abortion.
  • A waitress was fired after she became pregnant.

This is just part of a larger series of materials that are being prepared by the Elliot institute.  They are examining ways in which has forced many women to performing an abortion that was unwanted, unnecessary and dangerous.  You will find citations to research that shows up to 60% of women having abortions feel pressured in some way to have an abortion by another person.   It does not stop there. After the abortion takes place, there are further risks which include trauma such as PTSD, she will suffer anxiety, depression, hate for those who made her or talked her into it, loss of her baby, the possibility of infection and even death.  After abortion suicide rates are 6 times higher.

Abortion is not about a woman’s choice to abort according to her religious beliefs or her conscience. Studies show that most women decide against their religious beliefs and their consciences which is based on the threats of others.  They do this even when it violates their moral beliefs and strong desires to keep the baby.  In some cases, it has taken form of manipulation.  There appears to be a clear connection between abortion and domestic violence.  Pregnant women who willingly refuse to abort their baby are subject to the abuse to escalate, sometimes resulting in death.

The leading cause of death among women who are pregnant in society today is homicide.

The Elliot Institute sites hundreds of cases in which women who have for various reasons chose not to abort their baby has been shot, stabbed, choked, burned, bombed and killed for refusing to abort the baby.  Some of this done by the very parents of that girl or woman.  Most coming from the husband or boyfriend of the pregnant woman.

Some experts in the field noted, while the statistics that were included in the report are startling, some of the horrible comments that were made by the women who were forced to have an abortion are nothing short of heart-wrenching.

“When I told him (the father of the child) he was furious and insisted that the child be aborted as soon as possible.” said Cynthia Greenwood, one of the women quoted in the report.

You see clearly that many of the abortions that take place are not because the women want them.  Abuse plays a key role.  I ask you to please quit judging these women and pray for them.  Lend them a shoulder or an ear.  We are called by God to not judge, but to be merciful and kind.  I ask you also to do the same.

If you could only hear the stories I have heard or read about what women go through after abortion, you would cry many tears and want the abortions to stop yourself.

Dear Heavenly Father, I ask you in the name of Your Beloved Son Jesus Christ to put an end to abortion.

To Your Recovery,

Kimberly Olmstead
